The USS Voyager (NCC-74656) is a fictional spacecraft that serves as the primary setting of the television series Star Trek: Voyager. It's a Intrepid-class Federation starship, designed for deep-space exploration and long-term missions. The ship is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a bio-neural gel pack-based computer system, advanced propulsion systems, and a variety of scientific and defensive capabilities. The USS Voyager is under the command of Captain Kathryn Janeway, who is portrayed by Kate Mulgrew. The ship and its crew become stranded in the distant Delta Quadrant, following a confrontation with a powerful alien race known as the Borg. The crew must find a way to return home while navigating the unknown and sometimes hostile territory of the Delta Quadrant. The crew of the Voyager is a diverse group of individuals, including Starfleet officers, as well as members of other Federation species such as the Bajoran First Officer, Lt. Commander Chakotay and a Talaxian chef, Neelix. The crew also includes the holographic doctor and an ex-Borg drone, Seven of Nine, among others. The ship's journey back home, takes seven years, during that time the crew faces various challenges, from hostile aliens to internal conflicts, and the ship will always be short of supplies and resources. Through their journey, the crew forms a tight-knit and loyal team as they learn to work together to survive in the Delta Quadrant.

The USS Voyager's journey back home, known as the "Voyager mission" is an ongoing, central storyline throughout the series, which follows the ship and its crew as they navigate the unknown and often hostile territory of the Delta Quadrant. Along the way, they encounter various alien species and civilizations, some of which become allies while others remain enemies. The crew must also contend with the challenges of living and working together in close quarters for an extended period of time, as well as the fact that they are cut off from Starfleet and other Federation resources. This leads to a number of conflicts and challenges, both among the crew and with the ship itself. One of the main themes of the series is the idea of "home" and what that means for the characters. As they journey through the Delta Quadrant, the crew must come to terms with the fact that they may never return home, and must find a way to create a new home for themselves. This theme is explored through the relationships between the characters, as well as through the various challenges they face. The USS Voyager also uses advanced technologies and it's able to adapt to different situations, such as the use of Borg technology and the incorporation of new crew members from different species. This allows the series to explore ideas about technology and its role in society, as well as the ethics of using technology from conquered or defeated cultures. Additionally, the series also featured several recurring antagonists such as the Borg, the Kazon and the Hirogen, among others which provides a sense of danger and adventure in the Voyager's journey. The USS Voyager is considered one of the most advanced ships of the federation and its journey back home through the unknown space, is one of the main themes of the series, and it explore the characters' humanity and their endurance in the face of adversity.
